Stroll towards the Paseo de Pereda. Walk between the raindrops, if you can. Precipitation is a constant here. Use the living walkways to negotiate the hills. Shop the local shops that populate the beachfront.

Wool. The shops are full of merino wool clothing (a preponderance of sheep on the hills outside the city offered a clue). And since merino sheep were raised exclusively in Spain for centuries, I suppose that stands to reason.
